• Amelio Laboratory

The mission of our Chair is to deliver high quality science and to train and mentor the next-generation of toxicologists and biomedical researchers.

Our research is committed to deliniating the relationships between epigenetics, transcription, and the cellular stress response, with a specific emphasis on genetic mutations associated with cancer. Our overarching objective is to offer valuable insights for understanding the biology of cancer, contributing to the development of preventive strategies and potential therapeutic advancements.

  • Genes, Environment & Human Health

Our research is anchored in the foundational concept that the dynamic interplay between genes and the environment significantly shapes health outcomes.

Our Systems Toxicology approach integrates cutting-edge techniques while acknowledging the complex nature of biological systems. We are dedicated to elucidating the connections between genes, environmental factors, and the complex dynamics of epigenetic modifications and transcriptional contributions within the cellular stress response, with a primary emphasis in elucidating cancer-relevant pathways.
